One of my students, Ryan, has a seizure disorder called Dravet's Syndrome (learn more here) and yesterday was "A Day for Dravet". There was a local walk to raise money and awareness at a nearby park so my mom and I walked.
Before the walk began, a bunch of balloons were released - attached to each balloon was the name of a child who has passed away from Dravet's - it was very touching.
