The Mitsubishi Electric office in Braselton, GA has adopted our special ed department at our school. They have already generously donated hundreds of dollars worth of materials to our classes. Yesterday they held a putt putt tournament and part of the proceeds go to our department. Their vendors sponsored and built putt putt course holes – some of them really elaborate and cool –and then they set them up around the warehouse and office to create an 18 hole course. Teams from the office and the vendors signed up to play in the tournament. They raised over $5000.00! They also invited two kids from each self contained class to come to the tournament so that people could see what the money was going to. The kids got to play a few holes of puttputt (which was adorable lol), eat pizza and ice cream, and they got goodie bags with a stuffed animal, toy truck, huge thing of bubbles, two things of playdough and some snacks! It was a great day – Sam and Seth from my class went and we had a blast!
